Week 9 - Manzil123

During Week 9, I focused on completing the socio-economic research section by examining the social impact, user behaviour patterns, accessibility considerations, and the broader economic significance of the proposed system, including potential market viability and long-term sustainability. I also completed the testing research, outlining the most suitable testing methods for our project—covering functional, usability, integration, and performance testing—to support a structured and reliable quality assurance approach. In parallel, our team finalised the Project Memorandum by refining the project scope, clarifying objectives, detailing risks, and aligning individual responsibilities as we move toward full proposal completion. This week’s work also ensured that all research components were consistent with the technical and design sections already developed, allowing the entire document to move closer to its final structure for next week’s submission.

Week 8 - individual contribution- Aman

During Week 8, I contributed to the team mainly through our online discussions by proposing that we adopt Notion as our shared workspace. My intention was to improve transparency and task tracking so that everyone can see what stage each component of the research is in. After reviewing the meeting notes from Tausif and Jayden, I appreciated how the team mapped everyone’s deadlines to plan future work sessions more efficiently. I also started outlining how our Notion space could integrate research summaries, branding concepts, and meeting logs in one place. Even though this week was lighter on development, it strengthened our organisational foundations and made the upcoming weeks feel far more manageable.

Week 7 Blog: Tausif Rahman

This week, Jayden and I met to consolidate the group’s workflow and discuss the emerging brand identity for Vehicle Planner. Since deadlines for other subjects are approaching, I took the initiative to collect everyone’s class timetables and major assessment dates so we can anticipate periods of high workload. This helped identify realistic collaboration windows for our research and documentation phases. I also encouraged the team to adopt structured task management, and Aman later proposed Notion as a shared platform to centralise schedules and progress tracking. The week felt productive in a planning sense, we refined how we’ll manage time and responsibilities leading up to Weeks 11 and 12, ensuring the team will stay synchronised even when individual workloads peak.

Individual Contribution – Manzil

During Week 6, my main focus was helping the team visualise and organise our implementation plan. After reviewing the early Work Breakdown Structure that Tausif created, I built a clearer version of it using Miro. This made it easier for everyone to read, zoom in on, and collaborate on specific tasks. The Miro board also gave us a new shared space to discuss updates and make adjustments together, which improved communication and transparency across the group. I also contributed to the communication plan by introducing Miro as a collaborative tool that could support future updates and visual coordination. This addition complemented the team’s existing communication channels, such as Google Docs and WhatsApp, by giving us an organised visual workspace for planning. Overall, my contributions focused on improving the team’s communication workflow and translating the implementation plan into a visual, collaborative format that supported both planning and ongoing project coordination.

Individual Contribution – Aman

In Week 6, my main focus was helping define the overall direction and goals of our project. Early in the week, I worked closely with Tausif to refine the project concept, scope, and introduction. We discussed the problem we wanted to solve, the unique value of our approach, and what features should be implemented in Trimester 1 versus what could be reserved for future development. Tausif outlined his version of the introduction first, and I expanded on it using his ideas and my own input to create a more structured and cohesive version that represented our team’s shared vision. I also collaborated on the contingency plan, contributing ideas related to time and coordination constraints that could affect the project. These discussions helped shape the final section by identifying realistic risks and practical mitigation strategies. Throughout the week, I contributed feedback on the implementation plan and the flow of the report. I reviewed the group’s shared document and made sugges...

Individual Contribution: Tausif Rahman

During Week 6, I focused on coordinating the group’s progress and keeping our work structured. I created the shared Google Doc we used for collaboration, organising it according to the brief and dividing each section by word limit so everyone could contribute efficiently. I also helped plan our workflow and timeline so that the Thursday class could be used productively for refining ideas and gathering feedback. I worked on the implementation plan and created the outline for the Work Breakdown Structure. I designed an early version of the diagram, but the text became too small to read once it was converted into an image. Later, Manzil developed a version of it on Miro, which followed the same structure but was clearer and easier to share through a collaborative link. I also prepared the high-level Gantt chart after exploring different methods for creating one and adjusting our plan when we encountered technical challenges. For the contingency plan, I collaborated with Aman to include hi...
