Week 10 Blog – Communication Plan, Testing Plan & Final Planning Documentation

This week I focused heavily on the planning documentation, particularly the Communication Plan and the Testing Plan. I consolidated our entire team workflow, tools, decision-making structure, meeting cadence, and escalation process into a single detailed plan. To strengthen this section, I incorporated research from Atlassian, including their communication frameworks, documentation standards, and channel-selection models. This helped transform the communication plan into a research-backed, industry-aligned piece.

I also finalized the Testing Plan by outlining the testing objectives, testing phases, the types of testing we'll perform, the devices we will test on (iPad Mini, iPhone 15, Samsung S23 Ultra), and what we aim to demonstrate at the end (real EV routing, vehicle entry, test runs, algorithm evaluation, and end-to-end usability). A major part of this week involved establishing what we will actually show in the final demonstration and ensuring the plan reflects realistic deliverables.

Beyond that, I reviewed and refined the system architecture section to match the rest of the planning document. I also worked on consolidating references from all sections into one unified Harvard-style reference page, ensuring no duplicates and maintaining AIT formatting standards.

Overall, this week was about bringing everything together: communication strategy, testing framework, planning consistency, and final documentation. This completes the planning phase for Trimester 1 and prepares us for full development and testing next trimester.
